A Personalized Approach

IVF, Your Way

01

The Science Behind IVF

IVF works by retrieving eggs from the ovaries, fertilizing them with sperm in an embryology laboratory, and creating embryos that can be transferred to the uterus or frozen for future use. While the science is well established, the way IVF is done can make a big difference in both your experience and your outcomes.

02

The Fleura Approach

At Fleura Fertility, IVF is personalized to your hormones, your body, and your eggs. We take a just-right approach — moving away from traditional heavy injections and high-dose hormone protocols. Instead of using the same medication plan for everyone, treatment is carefully tailored and adjusted throughout the cycle based on how your ovaries respond.

03

Precision Over Excess

With a personalized approach, patients receive the level of stimulation that is optimal for their ovaries, avoiding unnecessarily high medication doses. This results in fewer side effects, less ovarian stress, and a focus on what matters: good-quality eggs and healthy embryos. Personalized IVF is about treating each patient as an individual, not a protocol.

The Three Approaches

The Three Approaches to IVF

At Fleura Fertility, we offer three distinct approaches to IVF, each tailored to your unique needs and circumstances. Whether you're looking for a traditional approach, a more gentle method, or a fully personalized plan, Dr. Jenn has the expertise to guide you through every step.

Step by Step

The IVF Process

At Fleura Fertility, IVF is never one-size-fits-all. Every step is carefully personalized to your hormones, your ovaries, and your goals.

01

Ovarian Stimulation

You'll take customized fertility medications designed to gently stimulate your ovaries to mature eggs. We closely monitor your response with bloodwork and ultrasound, adjusting medications as needed to achieve a just-right level of stimulation — avoiding unnecessary high-dose hormones whenever possible.

02

Egg Retrieval

Once your eggs are ready, they are collected during a brief outpatient procedure performed under light sedation. This is a same-day procedure, and most patients return to normal activities within a day or two.

03

Fertilization

Your eggs are combined with sperm in the embryology lab to create embryos. In some cases, a single sperm is carefully injected into each egg using a technique called ICSI, which can improve fertilization for certain patients.

04

Embryo Culture & Development

Fertilized eggs are monitored closely as they grow in the lab. Over the next 5–7 days, embryos develop into blastocysts — the most advanced stage before implantation and the stage most often used for transfer or freezing. Some patients choose preimplantation genetic testing (PGT) to screen embryos for chromosomal abnormalities or inherited conditions, helping guide embryo selection and transfer planning.

05

Embryo Freezing (Cryopreservation)

Embryos not transferred right away are frozen using advanced vitrification techniques and safely stored until you're ready to use them. Frozen embryo transfer allows for flexibility, recovery time, and optimal uterine preparation.

Common Questions

IVF FAQ

Personalized IVF tailors medication dosing, monitoring, and protocol selection to your hormones, ovarian reserve, and how your ovaries respond — rather than using the same high-dose plan for every patient.

IVF retrieves eggs from the ovaries, fertilizes them with sperm in the lab, and creates embryos that can be transferred to the uterus or frozen. The cycle includes stimulation, monitoring, retrieval, fertilization, and embryo culture.

Side effects may include bloating, mood changes, and discomfort from injections. Our Goldilocks approach aims to minimize unnecessary high-dose hormones and reduce side effects whenever possible.

Success rates vary based on age, diagnosis, embryo quality, and protocol. Dr. Jenn will discuss realistic expectations for your specific situation during your consultation.

A complete IVF cycle may include a fresh embryo transfer or frozen embryo transfer depending on your protocol, uterine lining, and embryo development. Your plan is discussed in detail before treatment begins.

The number of cycles varies by individual. Factors include age, ovarian reserve, embryo quality, and prior cycle outcomes. Dr. Jenn will help you plan thoughtfully based on your data.

Gentle or Goldilocks IVF uses lower medication doses tailored to your ovaries, prioritizing egg quality and minimizing side effects. Traditional IVF uses higher doses to retrieve a larger number of eggs.

Dr. Jenn offers virtual consultations and can coordinate monitoring with local clinics when appropriate, providing same-day outside monitoring (ultrasound and bloodwork) for IVF and IUI patients whose primary clinic is out of town.

The Goldilocks Protocol is Dr. Jenn's signature balanced approach — not too aggressive, not too minimal — designed to optimize egg quality and yield while avoiding under- or overstimulation.
